Kind Words Thoughtful Deeds - Live Life with Meaning & Purpose

Life should be lived well–with meaning and purpose, passion and gusto. How do you define a successful well lived life?

“To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and to endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded.”
Ralph Waldo Emerson

The mission of this blog is to serve as a gentle reminder of the things that matter most in life. We will focus on be many topics, some of which will include kindness, respect, character, integrity, gratitude, faith, family, grace, inspiration, creativity, thoughtfulness, wisdom, fitness (spiritual and physical) and humor.

Today, Thanksgiving 2011, we take pause and give thanks for our many blessings. What especially are you thankful for today? We have encouraged our family to treat every day as Thanksgiving, a daily reminder of everything we have to be grateful for.

Words of encouragement and inspiration will be the main theme of this blog. Motivational stories and practical suggestions for touching lives will also be a common thread throughout the postings.

With every post, I will strive to interject some nuggets of humor in one form or another. You may not need to laugh, but I sure could use an extra dose from time to time.

I have always been a serious soul – perhaps a bit laughter challenged. My sense of humor remains a work in progress; however we have a wealth of information to draw from. I encourage you to click on the Smile link that will be included in many posts.

There are no coincidences – you have found this site for a reason, and it is my prayer and hope that you will visit often.

In our sidebar, you will be able to subscribe to our blog, which will deliver new postings directly to your e-mail. We would love to hear from you, so please feel free to click the comment button below to let us know what you think.

We are planning to post a new blog entry at least weekly. Our next post will focus on kindness, and we are hoping you will check it out.

I have a good feeling about this journey in which we are about to embark – one human being to another. Together, and with the guiding force of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, we can make a difference in our lives, and in the lives of others!

For this moment, simply be still. Take a life cleansing breath; focus on one thing you are thankful for, and let’s begin our journey.

In His Grace,
Lynda
